Total Compliance is pleased to announce that we are working with a virtual reality course developer to offer interactive, immersive classroom based vulnerable road user awareness training.

This training can enhance a drivers knowledge of what it is like to be around vulnerable road users safe in the knowledge that there is no road risk on this CPC day.

Our training uses a virtual reality headset to bring to life real life experiences of a cyclist navigating busy roads to allow the drivers to learn and respond, to encourage a road safety culture.

Your drivers must be aware that whilst we are promoting this training and making it as interactive and as realistic as possible it does not completely cover every eventuality.

It can be difficult for drivers to get onto bicycles after many years of non-riding and this is a great way to raise awareness of the dangers of vulnerable road users on the road, plus the technology is fantastic as we have completed a trail on it.

It also ensures that the training is as consistent as possible. You can never guarantee what you will experience on the roads when on the practical elements of safe urban driving so by doing interactive learning we can make sure that the consistency is key and your drivers get a great alternative to the on-road cycling courses.

Watch this space for updates on the release dates for our training and of course, it will be both Driver CPC and FORS approved so can count to any of your training needs in relation to these.

We are still doing on cycle courses and intend on keeping our van and bikes for the FORS Safe Urban Driving CPC Course we offer.
