One in four people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives.
Mental health is serious and yet there is still a stigma associated with it and a lack of understanding about it.
This course covers signs, symptoms and treatment for stress, anxiety, depression and PTSD and how we can all make a difference with knowledge and understanding.
One of the biggest challenges with mental health is removing the stigma that surrounds it. Many people do not hesitate to look for help for physical pain or illness, and yet so many of us ignore emotional and mental health issues, or we feel too embarrassed, confused or scared to talk about them.
Mental health is also something we do not talk about and yet by discussing and increasing awareness around the topic, we can change perceptions.
With increased training and awareness, we can help people sooner or teach them how to help themselves and others, which can result in a happier and healthier workforce that results in less time off work.
This training is a maximum of 4 hours and is for up to 20 people at a time.
