WE KNOW DRIVER CPC IS HERE TO STAY!!!

Is it going to change because we left the European Union? Definitely not.

Our experience is that there are very few drivers who attend courses and did not benefit with them at all. Many drivers, sadly, whether they believe it or not, do not know everything about the job which they are doing and they, in most situations learn from the courses.

There are very few jobs which you can enter at 18 or 21, retire at 65 and do no mandatory training between those years. Driving lorries is no different. The gaps of knowledge of the drivers are far reaching from drivers hours to enforcement matters, drivers need this essential training to stay and there are thing which you can do to enhance positive driver behaviour in relation to the training

Plan it in advance

Ensure the courses you choose relevant courses

Maintain a positive attitude towards training

Encourage them to look at the benefits rather than the negatives

Choose engaging providers

Do the training in quiet work times, where possible (the firs week in January is probably one of our busiest times)

By following the advice above, you can enhance the driver attitude towards training which not only helps your business it engages your drivers to want to learn and improve, making them safer and more efficient for you and your business.

Remember, bad attitude leads to bad attitude. Positive attitude leads to positive attitude.
